The Cormorant
We adopted this name because as you look out the northern windows you will normally see these birds gathering on the pier. Around the world there are various species with five different species recognised in Tasmania.
Cormorants have been trained to catch fish for people. A strap was placed around the neck to stop any idea of the bird becoming a free agent. It would stop them swallowing but not breathing.
They are extremely agile under water aided by webbed feet and a long bill allows them to readily catch and hold fish.
Functions
Our venue is licensed to hold 200 people with approximately 110 being the comfortable limit for catered functions.

Whether your group is joining us for a tour of Seahorse World or not, we cater lunches and morning or afternoon teas for groups.
