Kids Discovery Program

The Kids Discovery Program is only available in school holidays and starts at 9:45 am and finishes at 10:45 am.

Introducing our new school holidays program for 4-10 year olds.

Featuring:

  • Shark and seahorse feeding.
  • The amazing touch pool where everyone gets to touch a seahorse and maybe even a hermit crab or starfish.
  • A take home showbag filled with loads of goodies.
  • Colouring and drawing time upstairs and entry to our competition.
  • Dedicated kid-friendly expert tour guide.

At least one parent or guardian needs to accompany children. Only children receive a take home souvenir bag filled with goodies. Bookings are recommended to avoid disappointment. Parent/guardian pays regular tour prices.

We love kids coming to Seahorse World – they are filled with wonder and awe at seeing live Seahorses right in front of them. During these school holidays, we’re running a totally dedicated program just for youngsters – Kids Discovery Program. We trialled it in 2016 and received an amazing response, so we’re going to continue to run it during all Tasmanian school holiday periods.

This new program departs Monday to Friday during school holidays at 9.45am sharp. We have a limit of 25 places each day, so bookings in advance are strongly recommended. This is a special limited time offer only with programs running during the summer school holidays.

Tours run weekdays Monday through to Friday excluding Public Holidays.

The tour will last for about an hour which includes time upstairs for colouring in and drawing. We’re running a competition for the best colouring in (4-7 year olds) and the best undersea drawing (8-10 year olds).  The pictures will be displayed on the walls for the duration of the holidays and the winner will be announced at the end of the holiday period.

The tour content is designed for 4-10 year olds. Older kids might prefer to take the regular tour instead which departs at 10am.  Again, bookings are recommended for this too.
